Who I am
I have always been drawn to the nuts and bolts of business - people, systems, customers, vendors, and the daily decisions that make everything work.
Growing up in the San Francisco Bay area, I was surrounded by startups, innovation and disruptors. I thought that was the path for me, and for 15 years, it was. I started my first company when I was 30; it failed miserably, but that set me on a path of learning. I then joined a stereotypical Silicon Valley hyper growth startup as employee #13 and helped scale it to 220 employees covering 35 markets in five countries. I directly managed more than half of these markets, proving I could run a complex, distributed organization.
That experience led me to co-found ParkHub (now JustPark), a Dallas-based parking technology company. Over seven years as Chief Operating Officer, I hired more than 75 employees, signed on hundreds of customers, and grew revenues to $18 million. We worked with legendary organizations, including the Dallas Cowboys, who became an investor and early customer. We handled the Super Bowl for six straight years. Delivering under that kind of pressure was exhilarating. We ultimately sold that company for over $100 million.
So why not do another startup? Because I realized that what I want now is different. At this stage of my career, I do not want to build something from scratch. Instead, I want to acquire and grow an existing company, apply my nearly two decades of operating experience, and focus on developing people and taking a proud legacy to the next level.
I live in Denver, Colorado with my supportive wife and our two young boys. We love the outdoors whether it’s skiing, hiking, biking or just enjoying a spirited drive through the mountains. As a family, we look forward to relocating, investing in a new community, and beginning our next chapter.
